I came across this interesting feature, apparently shear stress of some sort between layers in sandstone in the northern Rhinogydd range in Eryri. The face is part of a long-abandoned manganese mine.

Can someone please provide a good explanation?

It's not my imagination, is it? There are 4 corners in the rock? It's not etched or carved that I can see. The rock is probably 2 x 3 feet wide and half buried so it's a big one.

When I’m feeling overwhelmed I often think of this small drawing from 2020. A lot of my still life art IS a meditation for me, a prayer.
